This is our first try at translating and we hope that you will enjoy this as we do.

..................................

Flower were flowers, trees were trees, other than the colour seemingly blurry, the world looked no different.

Rather, it was Rogge where all the difference laid.

After waking up, Rogge felt like a fish in a pool of water.

The world seemed to be partitioned with a transparent film and swaying rhythmically in the waves of the pond. There seems to be an invisible barrier that was making him unable to pear clearly the other side.

Whenever he tried to force his way to another side he just kept getting rebounded, like a fish in the crystal bowl. When it tries to go beyond the tank it gets bounced back.

.............

As the summer passed into autumn, Rogge recovered from his earlier state, almost being back to normal, and along with his body that was gripped with vices of the past. And now he no longer wakes up in the morning to check, whether his hand has turned into a bone.

Rogge, can clearly feel the presence of God's essence, a pair of silver eyes, sharp like a knife, an engrave and a white robe rippling in the air.

These fragments of vision would occasionally flash in his mind igniting his heart.

Necromancer's soul has the instinctive loathing of the God's essence as it was afraid of it changing the nature of Rogge, slowly that pressure died down as it is clear that it was not able to dilute the lascivious in Rogge's heart.

Many noble students were bigoted, and this was particularly evident in the Rogge. However, Most noble displayed bigotry through their belief that they were far superior to the common student.

But in the case of Rogge, he wished to create a pet out of God's essence is nothing out of ordinary.

He doesn't have any strong desire like to try to understand the god's essence or the wonder the might of heaven. He doesn't even have the immediate thirst for power.

Owing a pet is only possible for the Rank 7 magicians as it is directly dependent to the mana force of the magician.

But in the Rogge's case, because of the fusion with Necromancer's soul, and his understanding of the essence of the magic and God's essence, he will be able to create pet if he becomes Rank 3 magician.

Frost was a Rank 9 magician. His magic laboratory was in the quiet and the deep part of the magic school. It was a two storey building.

Frost was at most a mid-rank magician, despite that the good treatment of him by the school was because besides being a magician, he was also an accomplished practising inscriptionist. Which was more important and privileged. Well, who don't like high order magic items.

For Rogge to be able to work under him, it certainly, was not for the Rogge's appearance, which  was quite unlikeable but the reason that Frost choose Rogge to be his apprentice was because of his skill at the flattery on one hand and on the other hand it was because he could endure the experiment in the lab and be like a precious testing gem.

Rogge was by no mean a gentleman himself. He understands that "in order to get big profit latter he must sacrifice something at the present".This reasoning in Rogge stemmed from the unconscious awareness of his lessor noble origin and for him to live the life of the so-called higher nobles, he has to do things that are sometimes of questionable standards.

After several occasions of enjoyments together, Rogge and Feith's friendship deepened as they found too much common stance between themselves.

But anyway, after the fusion, Rogge started to find every moment of his to study magic, seeing the sudden and frantic studying of magic and magic essence by Rogge, Frost nonetheless was quite happy as Rogge was still his apprentice.

……..

"Teacher, what are the use of these symbols in inscriptions?”

"It is the same as the spells that you learn, these symbols are drawn in order to draw the corresponding magic energy or mana from the surroundings. The function of the inscriptions differs with the use of different materials and Symbols.

And an inscription function is determined by the combination of size, type, and order of the symbols and materials.

"Then, the inscription combinations, would it not be a lot?"

"Of course.” There are hundreds of magic materials recorded. There are also dozens of magical energies with the pure attribute, including a variety of divine energy.

“Coupled with the control of energy, law, flow, time, the numbers of combinations are endless. Existing foundation of inscriptions is the result of efforts of predecessors and their countless failures."

"What would happen if a combination of an inscription is wrong?”

Just after asking this question Rogge reproached himself as a fool. The explosion, that occurred from time to time in the lab, doesn't it explain the problem?

……………

However, Rogge's luck was really good. Although, Frost's mana was not large, as a practising inscriptionist, his knowledge of arrays was really proficient.

………

In Rhine magic school, three-quarter of the students were nobles and like Rogge, lesser nobles were often looked down upon by those nobles. These noble students were not hard working as the common students. However, with the gap brought about by the use of magical equipment, junior mages were able to suppress the common students.

Due to this disparity in the financial resources, common students have no way to improve their magic other than hard work.

However, Rogge had neither the financial resources to buy magical items nor the hard-working nature, therefore, his strength was quite average, occasionally bullying common students and some normal people.

As the day went by, the weather grew cold.  And almost all the students that knew Rogge earlier were amazed at his change, The short and stout shameless fellow nowadays, if not immersed in the heap of the old books in the library, then mediating in his room.

With the constant practice, his mana slowly increased, and finally, in a snowy day, Rogge's mana finally reached Rank 3.

After his advancement, Rogge had an unexpected finding. His body was completely reconstructed, his body now possessed explosive power and agility that was no less than the wild beast.

"You are more of a beast than a man" Necromancer summarized this development.

………………

After the initial phase of soul fusion, Rogge had realized that he can talk to the necromancer's soul in his consciousness and now two people's soul had become fully integrated, it was hard to tell who was who.

But it was clear that this argument can only come from the necromancer who had the deep understanding of the anatomy of both human and beast.

Another surprise that Rogge found in the aftermath of the fusion was the spiritual force.

In one of the afternoon, he was struggling with the principles of the wind magic when a pair of silver eyes burned his mind. This sudden flash in his mind made Rogge recoil.

"I really want to drink," Rogge had thought while remembering the wine glass he had kept in the table by the window back in his room. After that brief flash of those silver eyes, he again prepared to sink in the ocean of the magic when he noticed that there was a wine glass hanging in the air suspending over his head.

With Rogge taken by surprise, the glass fell down spilling the cheap wine all over his head.

After Rogge found that his spiritual powers can control an object he started his gruesome and tiring practice and finally threw the cat that kept sneaking in his room to steal food out of his room by his spiritual power.

This ability compared to magic seem to be useless and troublesome but he had the vague feeling that this is going to be extremely useful in the future as this was the understanding that he gained through the fusion of necromancer's soul.

Many years later, he found that he had wronged the necromancer as his foresight originally came from an instinct of a sinister villain.

……………….

In any case, the great day has finally arrived.

Rogge was almost ecstatic while looking at the fresh inscriptions that he had drawn in the room. He had small changes to this pet summon to match with the god’s essence.

Generally, magician's pet was usually nothing much than small monsters like a crow, black cat that were mostly used in scouting.

The summoned pet and magician have the direct soul connection and the death of the pet can result in the most serious harm to the magician.

This point was repeatedly asserted by Frost and advising Rogge to summon a hamster rather than a wild boar because mage’s pet has very little meaning in combat, even big sized animals like black tiger are not much help in a battle.

Instead of using a pet to battle it is more easy and safe to directly summon some big and strong monster that is not the pet.

……………….

Rogge completed the chanting of his spell and begins to inject magic in the array.

Slowly the symbols in the inscription begin to light, started to intertwine with each other. When the inscription fully lighted, there came the roaring of the devil and the hymn of the heavens mixed in a rhythmical way from it.

Rogge was sweating and his veins were popping while trying to support the array that seems to be absorbing his mana like an endless abyss.

A cloud of black mist suddenly appeared in the centre of the array which then continually began to expand, dripping with mercury-like liquids.

This mass of silver liquid kept on increasing and after a long time, the black mist dissipated from the array, leaving behind only a mercury-like substance in the air, constantly rolling and transforming.

Rogge chanted another spell and put his hand over that substance and slowly a drop of golden matter seeped out of his fingertips and fell on the top of that substance.

The substance violently reacted when coming in touch with that golden matter. It suddenly sprayed a black mist filling the array blocking the view from outside.

Rogge, completely drained of his mana, sat staring at the array which was occasionally flashing with silver lights with hopeful eyes.

Rogge knew that this creature will be the one that has not existed in this world before, and whatever it was, he hoped that the pet will have pair silver eyes.

The Fog slowly scattered, leaving Rogge speechless.

Rogge stared at his new pet, a tattered skeleton.
